It gives me great pleasure and honor, at the beginning of this new year 2026, to be among the people of the historic Wilaya of Tipaza. On this occasion, I extend my best wishes to you on the advent of the New Year and thank you for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. This visit falls within the framework of implementing the roadmap adopted by the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening field presence, listening to citizens’ concerns, and translating their aspirations into concrete projects that improve public service performance and the quality of services provided.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our visit today reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to closely monitoring the implementation of planned programs on the ground , through assessing the performance of the energy sector and reviewing the progress of projects in the Wilaya of Tipaza, particularly in the field of energy. The province currently benefits from an installed capacity estimated at 1,170 MVA, with an electricity connection rate of 99% and a gas connection rate of 88%, in addition to continued efforts to strengthen networks and develop energy infrastructure to meet the growing demand for energy.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Ministry’s vision for the development and use of new and renewable energies forms part of a national strategy aimed at promoting the energy transition and achieving sustainable development. Through this vision, the Ministry seeks to:

• Diversify energy sources by developing electricity generation based on solar, wind, and hydropower energy;
• Launch studies related to green hydrogen;
• Enhance energy efficiency, with the energy and renewable energies sector playing a central role in guiding other sectors toward achieving energy efficiency.

The Ministry is also working to strengthen electricity supply to isolated areas by relying on new and renewable energies, an approach that contributes to reducing dependence on conventional energy sources, protecting the environment, limiting polluting emissions, and ensuring the continuity of electricity supply across all areas of the province.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our presence among you today reaffirms our firm commitment to listening to the concerns of elected officials and executive authorities, and to studying and resolving issues related to the energy sector, in coordination with local authorities and relevant institutions.

In conclusion, I reiterate our steadfast commitment to continuing our work with seriousness and dedication in response to the aspirations of our citizens for development and prosperity, and to building a promising energy future based on efficiency, innovation, and sustainable development.
