As part of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening coordination among government sectors and promoting joint action mechanisms, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Ms. Nassima Erhab, held a coordination meeting on Monday, 1 June 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies, attended by officials from both ministries.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the two sectors, particularly regarding the contribution of the energy sector to the National Reference Framework for Training and Competencies (RNFC), which aims to align the training system with the needs of the national labor market.

Presentations were delivered on the project’s objectives and implementation phases. The Minister of Vocational Training and Education stressed the importance of adopting an accurate national competency framework based on updated data concerning the needs of the national economy, as well as activating a national map of strategic projects to improve youth employability and professional integration.

For his part, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies expressed strong interest in the sector’s participation in this national project, emphasizing that its success requires the involvement of all key economic operators in the Algerian market, particularly the Sonelgaz Group, which possesses considerable expertise in training through its schools and specialized centers across the country.

He also underlined the importance of building an effective and forward-looking training system based on accurate and continuously updated data, enabling adaptation to economic and technological changes and meeting the needs of the national labor market.

The Minister further affirmed the readiness of the Energy and Renewable Energies Sector to actively contribute to enriching and updating the content of the National Economic Competencies Reference Platform, reflecting the sector’s actual needs and enhancing its contribution to developing the required national skills.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a framework agreement between the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Ms. Nassima Erhab. The agreement defines the mechanisms for the contribution of the Energy and Renewable Energies Sector to the National Economic Competencies Reference Platform, thereby strengthening cooperation between the two sectors and enhancing coordination in training and human resource development.

The meeting was also crowned by the signing of a framework agreement between the two ministries establishing the mechanisms for the sector’s contribution to the national platform, reinforcing institutional coordination and supporting the development of national competencies.
