Dr. Mourad Adjal officially assumed his duties as Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies on September 15, 2025, following the government reshuffle carried out yesterday, Sunday, by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During the handover ceremony, Dr. Mourad Adjal expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in assigning him the responsibility of the energy and renewable energies sector. He pledged to carry out this significant responsibility with full dedication and sincerity, placing the highest interest of the nation above all else.

The new appointee to the Hydra building, Dr. Mourad Adjal, also praised Mr. Mohamed Arkab, ; Minister of State, former Minister of Energy, Renewable Energies, and Mines, who has been assigned the portfolio of Hydrocarbons and Mines in the new government, ; for his efforts in serving this sector and for the achievements realized during his tenure, as well as for his support of all the strategic programs implemented at Sonelgaz.

Dr. Mourad Adjal also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to all the employees of Sonelgaz for their efforts and the achievements that have contributed to the development of the energy sector and strengthened its position as one of the pillars of the national economy, urging them to continue working diligently in anticipation of upcoming challenges.
