The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, received on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Ministry's headquarters, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, who is visiting Algeria in his capacity as President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). The meeting took place in the presence of Ministry executives and representatives of the Institute.

On 8 June 2026, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, accompanied the Prime Minister, Mr. Seifi Ghrieb, on a working visit to the Republic of Chad. In the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Allamaye Halina, they presided over the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Algerian-Chadian Solidarity Power Plant in N'Djamena, with an installed generation capacity of 40 MW.
