Mr. Azzouz Nasri, President of the Council of the Nation, chaired the plenary session held on the morning of Thursday, October 30, 2025, which was devoted to oral questions addressed to the government representative, Dr. Mourad Adjal, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, concerning the sector. The session was attended by Ms. Nadjiba Djilali, Minister of Relations with Parliament.

The questions raised by members of the Council were as follows:

Mr. Youssef Larab addressed a question to the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies regarding the reasons that have prevented the supply of natural gas to the municipalities of Ain El Karma and Oued Zitoune in the province of El Tarf, and what measures are required to resolve this issue.

Mr. Abdelkader Boubidi asked about the timeline for the Ministry’s allocation of financial credits for completed projects (connecting 85 areas to the electricity network and 59 to the gas network) as well as those planned for 2025 and 2026, in addition to the expected date for lifting the suspension on power transformers in the municipalities of N’Gaous, Gharma, and Seriana (Batna Province).

Mr. Abdelfattah Chabira raised a question concerning the registration of projects to expand the electricity and gas networks in various municipalities of Skikda Province, particularly in remote and isolated areas.
