Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies Oversees the Installation of the New Chairwoman of the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission

The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, presided over the official installation ceremony of the new Chairwoman of the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission on December 22, 2025. Ms. Bahia Chkirid was appointed to replace her predecessor, Ms. Wassila Atimen. This change comes within the framework of strengthening institutional performance and consolidating the principles of good governance.

Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies Participates in the National Study Meeting on Quality of Life

Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Mr. Seifi Ghrib, and at the invitation of the Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Ms. Kawther Krikou, Dr. Mourad Adjal, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, participated on December 21, 2025, alongside a number of fellow ministers, in the opening ceremony of the National Study Meeting on Quality of Life. The event was held at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture under the slogan “National Achievements with Developmental Stakes.”

As part of efforts to strengthen external cooperation and explore ways to expand Algeria’s international partnerships, particularly at the continental level, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, received on December 17, 2025, at the headquarters of his ministry, Ms. Ndolindodji Alex Naimbay, Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology of the Republic of Chad.

Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies on a Working and Inspection Visit to Ghardaïa

As part of the working and inspection visits carried out by the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, to several provinces across the country, Dr. Mourad Adjal paid a visit to Ghardaïa Province on December 16, 2025. He was accompanied by a high-level delegation of officials from the Ministry and the Sonelgaz Group. Upon his arrival, he was received by the Governor of the province, Mr. Abdellah Abi Nouar, along with representatives of local and security authorities.

Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies Conducts a Working and Inspection Visit to Assess Sector Performance in Laghouat

The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Mourad Adjal, arrived on December 15, 2025, at Moulay Ahmed Medeghri Airport, at the head of a delegation comprising senior officials from his Ministry and executives from the Sonelgaz Group, as part of a working and inspection visit to the provinces of Laghouat and Ghardaïa. Upon his arrival in Laghouat , he was welcomed by the Governor of Laghouat, Mr. Mohamed Ben Malek, accompanied by the President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, officials from the energy and renewable energies sector, as well as representatives of local and security authorities.
